Ashbory Bass Project: The back of the plank. I chose a "fun" looking piece of yellow pine (my favorite wood for solid body instruments). The shape is drawn first on 1/4" luan ply wood for a pattern, then transfered with straight edge and compass on to the wood. The shape echoes that of the dog house (double) acoustic string bass.
